Welcome to the Open-DO Initiative community. This site is dedicated to discussing and shaping the vision for Open-DO. It will share news and information around the topics and concepts fundamental to Open-DO, such as: open-source and free software development, agile and lean programming practices, and software certification.

The key to making Open-DO a reality will be a wide participation from a variety of communities including: open-source and safety critical programmers, tool providers, avionics industry leaders, academia, and certification authorities, among others. So you’re invited to share your comments and please contact us if you’d like to contribute a post or want to participate more actively in the initiative.

We look forward to growing the community, and together, shaping the vision for a cooperative and open framework for the development of certifiable software.
